Discover Your Value to God from Isaiah 53

Discover Your Value to God from Isaiah 53

God went through a lot of pain and anguish to give you the ability to be his child. He so dramatically loves you that he essentially became you to set you free from the worst aspects of you. At least be willing to see what he saw in you that compelled him to become your sin and darkness.

The Mission of Jesus

The Mission of Jesus

In the Book of Isaiah we learn that God’s servant would not come as a conquering king, he would come as a suffering servant to deliver mankind from the darkness and rebellion of the human condition from the inside out. Today we will look at the Mission of Jesus and how you fit into the big picture.

The Anointed Servant of God

The Anointed Servant of God

Isaiah prophesied of a coming servant that would restore God’s people and bring healing to the nations. Jesus claimed that identity when He stepped into His public ministry when He said, "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.” He was reading from Isaiah chapter 61 when He made this announcement about Himself. This year, our Christmas messages will focus on the mission of the Servant of God.
