Practicing Peace with God
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
From the very first time there was trouble between God and man, God swore to protect mankind and deliver him from trouble. Every time an angel appeared before a human they always led with “peace, be still, don’t be afraid.” The cross is the culmination of God’s promise of rescue, protection and peace. Jesus has taken the steps and finished the work for us to be at a constant place of rest because we are at peace with God.
Isaiah 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
