Ephesians 4:22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Discover the power of renewal by putting on the renewed self and bearing the fruit of righteousness and holiness. Living from the power of God within you is the only way to achieve this. As the temple of the living God, you are already full of grace and truth and are righteous and holy through the spirit of Christ in you. Now is the time to live in this renewal and experience freedom from sin, temptation, and suffering.

Planting the Word of God in your heart and allowing it to transform you is the secret to achieving this. While God's Word has often been presented as a rulebook or a standard for living, it is so much more. It is a handbook on how to be a new human and delves deep into the makeup of mankind. The wisdom and order of thought of the creator of humanity are embedded within the stories that are told, the events that happen, and ultimately culminate in a person.

Jesus embodies the best of humanity and embraces the darkest depths of humanity, resolving all of our brokenness and complexity. When you ponder the wisdom of Christ and the overall revealed wisdom in Scripture, it addresses not just how to live but at a deeper level, how to think and what it means to be human.

To be human is to recognize that we are responsible beings and free will agents that can choose to submit ourselves to our creator in a loving relationship. In that submission, we find life. Submission is not just obedience of behavior, it is obedience of identity. When we submit our right to think of ourselves as autonomous beings and realize that His living through us makes us the best we can possibly be, we truly find life.

It's not just about outward behavioral obedience, but about discovering the mystery of life itself living through you. Discovering that you are a conduit of light and the less of you there is that remains, the more of you gets to live. All of this happens in the hearts and minds of people and is expressed in emotions and actions. Thought and emotion are like the chicken and the egg, you cannot have one without the other, but you have to start somewhere.

Invest in yourself and allow the inner realm of renewal to manifest into your entire being.
